* Well we have done it folks! It's taken us 17 years to get here! BUT we now have 10,000 people, and already a few more, on the mailing list…and of course there are all those people who have their own hundreds of people they are forwarding onto! Thank you EVERYONE for supporting this list and one by one, recommending it to others! Yee ha!
A translation of "To My Friends" published in the Seikyo Shinbun based on President Ikeda's recent guidance, and more.

-- TO MY FRIENDS --
"Continuity" that is
what makes us strong.
Even if we're the type of person
who decides to do something
and then stalls on the third day,
if we keep repeating this pattern
10 times over,
we can cover a whole month of effort!
Let's win over this tendency though,
and keep on trying, cheerfully
and in high spirits!

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"…the stronger our desire to improve ourselves and change things for the better, the more challenges we are likely to encounter. We may at times feel we've reached the limit of our abilities, berate ourselves, or be filled with despair. How we get back on our feet and move our lives forwards when that happens is the real struggle. That's what we have to wrestle with and figure out.
"…Trying to improve ourselves and make the world a better place involves an unremitting struggle with problems and difficulties. But the lives of those who challenge themselves in this way are filled with satisfaction, exhilaration, and the wonderful reward of personal growth.
"That's why Mahatma Gandhi (1869–1948) said: 'Joy lies in the fight, in the attempt, in the suffering involved, not in the victory itself.'"[1]
