[SGI-ToMyFriends-Wagatomo] April 4 2018 To My Friends & Daily Gosho plus April 5 Daily Encouragement

Apologies for the spelling error in the last Daily Encouragement- it was indeed "challengers" and not "challenges."

A translation of "To My Friends" published in the Seikyo Shinbun based on President Ikeda's recent guidance, and more.

-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Having a deep sense of gratitude
is the birth point of true unlimited courage.
To all of my dear young friends,
who are spreading their wings to fly into the future,
may you take the youthful path of
appreciating and giving back to your parents!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"And yet, though one might point at the earth and miss it, though one might bind up the sky, though the tides might cease to ebb and flow and the sun rise in the west, it could never come about that the prayers of the practitioner of the Lotus Sutra would go unanswered."

(On Prayer
- WND, Vol. 1, page 345)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"My mentor, second Soka Gakkai president Josei Toda, instructed us: 'Our Buddhist practice is the challenge to overcome our complacency and to change ourselves, our families, and our communities for the better.

"The key is to take on a fresh challenge, no matter how small it may be, and chant clearly and specifically about actualising our goal.

"Reach out sincerely to even just one person at day, encouraging them and helping them to form a connection with Buddhism."

February Editorial of Daibyaku-renge/monthly study journal, translation released March 2018
