"Sufferings and hardship are actually the springboard for winning in life.
When we decide to face and challenge our difficulties, we chant daimoku
fervently and become completely involved in solving the problem. In the
process, we can tap our full strength and polish and train ourselves. This
provides the momentum for success.... The reason we're moved by films and
television dramas that have happy endings is that the characters have gone
through all kinds of troubles to reach the conclusion. All of you are
enacting a great drama of kosen-rufu. Without tribulations, there'd be no
story. Obstacles provide fuel for victory."
