---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Great achievements are made in the midst of adversity--this is history's
lesson. The Daishonin states in 'On the Buddha's Prophecy':
"'During this period [since I began propagating my teaching] I have suffered
difficulties day after day and month after month. In the last two or three
years [since the Tatsunokuchi Persecution]' among other things, I was almost
put to death. The chances are one in ten thousand that I will survive the
year or even the month.' (WND-1, 402)
"...At present, many members are struggling with very difficult situations.
But it is amid great hardship that we can achieve truly noble and brilliant
accomplishments. This is the essence of our practice--to view hardships and
problems as peace and comfort, as the Daishonin teaches (cf. OTT, 115). "
