-- TO MY FRIENDS --
It is said that "one is the mother of ten thousand."*
First and foremost, be the person who stands up and
initiates courageous action.
Then, others will definitely follow in your stead.
"I will make sure kosen-rufu is achieved!"
Such a strong determined mind is the very spirit of the SGI.
*"The popular proverb says that 'one is the mother of ten thousand.'"

---- WORDS OF THE WEEK ----
The Daishonin states,
"The treasures of the heart are the most valuable of all."*
In this sense, all SGI members who accumulate the treasures of the heart,
day after day, can be called the wealthiest in the world.
Let's continue to sincerely and caringly help others to become happy,
and at the same time lead truly victorious lives endowed with the four
noble virtues of the Buddha: true self, eternity, happiness and purity.**
*"More valuable than treasures in a storehouse are the treasures of the body, and the treasures of the heart are the most valuable all. From the time you read this letter on, strive to accumulate the treasures of the heart!" -
"The Three Kinds of Treasure", WND-I, page 851
