"In any case, the SGI is the sole organisation genuinely committed to practising and spreading the Mystic Law, the fundamental law of the universe. I am not exaggerating when I say that there is no greater fortune in all the universe than being able to work as noble leaders of kosen-rufu. It is without compare. Genuine practitioners are those who recognise the importance of this mission and stand up with a sense of purpose and resolve to take action for kosen-rufu.
"The ancient Greek poet Pindar warned:
"'But empty-headed boasting hurls one mortal down from success,
and another, too little confident in his strength,
whose timid spirit drags him back by the hand,
falls short of the glory he deserves.'
"Some people cause their own downfall through arrogance, while some are defeated by fear or cowardice. True success and victory in life belongs to those who maintain an unflagging seeking spirit and invincible courage to the very end."
