-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Let us be extremely cautious about sudden requests for money transfers
and let's never be deceived by crafty, fraudulent words.*
First and foremost, let us cross check and confirm all the facts with someone.
Exercise great caution, just as the gosho says, "be millions of times more careful
than ever."**

* In Japan, bank transfer fraud is on the rise again. Con artists target their victims, generally older people, via cell phone, duping them into going to nearby ATMs or post offices to transfer funds into accounts that are quickly terminated.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"It also states that, if the minds of living beings are impure, their land is also impure, but if their minds are pure, so is their land.
(On Attaining Buddhahood in This Lifetime - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.1, page 4)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Buddhism manifests in one's behaviour as a human being. The Law is invisible to the eye, but it can be discerned in the conduct of those who correctly practice the Buddhist teachings. This is because their actions exemplify the great merit of the Law.

"In this respect, it is essential that leaders of the SGI actively go out and meet with people, engage in one-on-one dialogue with them, share in their joys and sorrows, and work and move forwards together with them. Leaders not only need to offer inspiring encouragement and give people courage to challenge problems and hardships, but also to stand up to error and injustice themselves while warmly protecting, guiding, and caring for everyone. Buddhism does not exist apart from such committed action on the part of real, living human beings.

"A person who prays and works harder than anyone else to propagate the Mystic Law is a genuine leader in Buddhism. 'Buddha' is another name for someone of dedicated action. As long as there are efforts by devoted individuals to help others attain enlightenment, Buddhism will eternally shine as a living religion. If, on the other hand, such efforts were to disappear, Buddhism would become a dead religion, pallid and lifeless."

of the Daibyakurenge translated Dec. 11th, 2009
