-- TO MY FRIENDS --
To the great pillars of our organisation, the Mens Division,
who exert and toil right through the hot summer weather,
thank you all so much for your constant daily efforts!
As you strive wholeheartedly in your noble efforts
for the sake of our Soka family,
may you always lead happy and healthy lives.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Although I and my disciples may encounter various difficulties, if we do not harbour doubts in our hearts, we will as a matter of course attain Buddhahood. Do not have doubts simply because heaven does not lend you protection. Do not be discouraged because you do not enjoy an easy and secure existence in this life."

(The Opening of the Eyes - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol. 1, page 283) Selection source: "Kyo no Hosshin", Seikyo Shimbun, August 14th, 2013

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"It is also important that you develop yourselves, polish your character, and develop human relationships as individuals who are trusted by others. People are influenced and inspired by other people. They follow those who come across as pleasant, honest, genuine, and warm. Such individuals who have these qualities are likely to do well in business, and others will readily listen to what they have to say about Buddhism. However, people will not be drawn to those who are unpleasant, unkind, selfish, and cold. Far from promoting the Law, the bad example of such individuals will end up detracting from people's estimation of those teachings.

"That's why I wish to stress to you that your human revolution and your character development hold the key to everything in both your work and in kosen-rufu."
