-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Let's try to talk to other people on a person to person basis
and develop a strong bond of trust and friendship with them.
To take the time to listen to what our friends have to say
about what is bothering or worrying them
and then to sincerely offer words of encouragement
is to grow together
- it is one of our proud traditions in the SGI
and how we always try to inspire each other.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Exert yourself in the two ways of practice and study. Without practice and study, there can be no Buddhism. You must not only persevere yourself; you must also teach others. Both practice and study arise from faith. Teach others to the best of your ability, even if it is only a single sentence or phrase."

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The American journalist Norman Cousins (1915-90) continued...:
"'By virtue of our birth as a human being, we have a noble duty that we share with all others. That is to believe in people and to trust each other. When, for example, we are faced with an unavoidable tragedy, though in our anguish we may temporarily lose sight of the meaning of life, we must never forget to believe in people, which is what it means to be a human being.
"'What is important is how greatly you affirm and value the irreplaceable gift of life. You must never devalue the lives and feelings of others. Your supreme goal must be mutual acceptance―and you must never abandon that most noble human sentiment, trust.'"
