"Although you may still go through many painful and trying times, you have already started walking the great path to happiness. In fact, striving in Gakkai activities out of a wish for the happiness of others is to walk this path.
"Whereas you may have only been concerned with your own happiness before, you are now able to think about the happiness of others and savour the joy and fulfillment of dedicating your life to kosen-rufu. That is proof that you have elevated your state of life."
