-- TO MY FRIENDS --
"We will definitely raise and foster
capable people within our local area!"
As a leader,
let's never forget to chant daimoku
with this kind of strong determination.
By talking and taking action together,
let's do our very best to help the next generation
grow into a force for kosen-rufu.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"You must not spend your lives in vain and regret it for ten thousand years to come."

(The Problem to Be Pondered Night and Day - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol. 1, page 622) Selection source: SGI President Ikeda's message, Seikyo Shimbun, Jan 12th, 2014

—— DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ——
"Meet and talk with someone each day. Even if you just talk with one person, then in three years' time, you'll have spoken with more than a thousand people! Persevere, day after day. Make steady, persistent efforts. It is truly a case of 'Perseverance is strength.'

"All of your efforts are a source of growth. The unseen efforts you make for the sake of kosen-rufu, in particular, will return to you as your own benefit. Nothing is wasted. Unseen virtue brings about brilliant visible reward (cf. WND-1, 940).

"Nichiren Daishonin writes: 'To have faith like water means to believe continuously without ever regressing' (WND-1, 899).

"Those who advance steadily and persistently on their chosen path of mission will triumph in the end."

SGI Newsletter No. 8899, Humanistic Teachings for Victory, (16) Perseverance Is Strength, Sincerity Is Power, from 19th Sep., 2012, issue of the Soka Shimpo, the Soka Gakkai youth division's fortnightly newspaper translated 20th Dec. 2013
