"'If we inquire into the origin of Mount Sumeru,[1] we find that it began with a single speck of dust; and likewise, the great ocean began with a single drop of dew. One added to one becomes two, two becomes three, and so on to make ten, a hundred, a thousand, ten thousand, a hundred thousand, or an asamkhya.[2] Yet "one" is the mother of all.'

"A magnificent new era of worldwide kosen-rufu also begins with each of us taking one step forwards.

"In the family, when one person stands up in faith, all their family members, even those who are not practising Nichiren Buddhism, will be embraced in the light of the Mystic Law without fail.

"And in the community, when one person takes initiative to share Buddhism with those they are connected to, kosen-rufu will unfold substantially from there. As such honourable pioneers, let's each take another small, yet significant, step forwards again today!"
