"When one comes to realise and see that each thing--the cherry, the
plum, the peach, the damson--in its own entity, without undergoing any
change, possesses the eternally endowed three bodies, then this is
what is meant by the word ryo, 'to include' or all-inclusive."

"The practice for attaining Buddhahood in this lifetime is inevitably not easy.
"…There may be members in your local organisations who are always complaining and criticising. There may be those who joined the Soka Gakkai but hold resentment or ill feelings toward the organisation. There may also be people who seem unreceptive to your sincere intent. And some may be lonely individuals who are alienated from their neighbours or their own families. I am very aware that while dealing with such varying situations, you are taking the lead for kosen-rufu with the determination to create in your communities a harmonious realm of Buddhist humanism.
"In your own precious time, you are tirelessly exerting yourselves with all your might, without seeking any personal gain. You are making noble efforts to carry out, in the Buddha's stead, the arduous undertaking of 'opening the door of Buddha wisdom for all living beings, showing it, causing them to awaken to it, and inducing them to enter its path' (cf. LSOC, 64). If you were not emissaries of the Buddha and genuine disciples of the Daishonin, you could never take on such a lofty endeavour.
"You will surely be protected by the Buddhas of the ten directions and the three existences of past, present, and future. And you are certain to attain Buddhahood in this lifetime. If this were not the case, then where else could we find the true practice of the Daishonin's Buddhism?
"Through your practice, as genuine disciples of the Daishonin, I absolutely assure you that you will forge lives of great victory illuminated by the sun of time without beginning and shining with great good fortune."
