"Faith in the Mystic Law is not abstract theory. The Lotus Sutra teaches
the principle of the 'true aspect of all phenomena.' In other words,
the true aspect, the Mystic Law, manifests itself as all
phenomena—things and events in society. What matters, is what we have
done and what we will do in real life.
"Mr. Toda said the Soka Gakkai is an organisation that accords with the
Buddha's intent and decree. And in fact, true to the Daishonin's
teachings, the Soka Gakkai has spread the Mystic Law throughout Japan,
leading millions to practise. It has also spread the Daishonin's
Buddhism to the rest of the world. Countless members are now leading
joy-filled lives of great benefit, having overcome their various
problems and sufferings through faith.
"Please be confident that this is proof that the Soka Gakkai is
faithfully practising the Daishonin's Buddhism—irrefutable proof that
our efforts perfectly accord with the true intent of Nichiren Daishonin.
"Life is short. As Bodhisattvas of the Earth, please continue to support
your chapter, by showing examples of introducing this Buddhism to as
many people as you can and teaching them the way to happiness. It all
comes down to what each of you, as individuals, as proud pioneers of our
movement, actually do and what kind of accomplishments you leave
behind."
