-- TO MY FRIENDS --
The seriousness of our goals and aspirations
and the way in which we approach them
is manifesteded in the attitude with which we chant.
Today, yet again, by our chanting resonant powerful Daimoku
let's shake those protective forces of the universe into action!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"The three thousand worlds of the Dharma-realm may be termed secret
and wonderful. Secret means strict [or without a single exception].
The three thousand worlds, every single one of them, exist [in one's
life]. There is nothing more unfathomable than this!"

(Ongi kuden - Gosho Zenshu, page 714, The Record of the Orally
Transmitted Teachings, page 22)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The American thinker Henry David Thoreau (1817–62) wrote: 'There
is never an instant's truce between virtue and vice.'[1]

"Activities for kosen-rufu entail a fierce struggle between the forces
of the Buddha and devilish functions. If, having undertaken this
struggle, we become complacent or slacken in our efforts, we will give
free reign to negative forces, which will lead to our defeat. Therefore,
we must keep striving with all our might."
