-- TO MY FRIENDS --
"Iron, when heated in the flames and
pounded, becomes a fine sword."*
These words of the Daishonin teach us that
it's precisely during times of hardship
that we are able to forge a self as strong as steel.
We must never give in to our circumstances!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Strengthen your resolve more than ever. Ice is made of water, but it is colder than water. Blue dye comes from indigo, but when something is repeatedly dyed in it, the colour is better than that of the indigo plant. The Lotus Sutra remains the same, but if you repeatedly strengthen your resolve, your colour will be better than that of others, and you will receive more blessings than they do."
(The Supremacy of the Law
- The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin,
Vol. 1, page 615)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Does one accept one's destiny and allow one's life to be dominated by karma that is a source of unhappiness and misfortune? Or does one elevate one's destiny by transforming it into one's mission and powerfully overcome one's karma?
"As practitioners of Nichiren Buddhism, we are dedicated to protecting the dignity of life, transforming the destiny of humankind in order to create a better world, and expanding a network of those committed to the realisation of true peace and happiness for all people. Our movement for kosen-rufu represents the unwavering response of the forces of the Buddha to the challenge of devilish functions that cause evil and misery. It is a continuous, never-ending battle between the forces of the Buddha and devilish functions. Since this is the case, we must never stop making efforts for even a single moment."
