-- TO MY FRIENDS --
How our words impact on others depends on
how deeply those words come from our hearts.
Let's sincerely chant for their happiness and
express our honest concern
and how much we care about them
in our conversations with them.
Our sincerity is certain to reach their hearts!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Although I and my disciples may encounter various difficulties, if we do not harbour doubts in our hearts, we will as a matter of course attain Buddhahood. Do not have doubts simply because heaven does not lend you protection. Do not be discouraged because you do not enjoy an easy and secure existence in this life.

(The Opening of the Eyes
- The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin
Vol 1, page 283)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Nothing is more barbarous than war. We must on no account let war happen.

"…The Daishonin declares: 'If you care anything about your personal security, you should first of all pray for order and tranquility throughout the four quarters of the land, should you not?' (WND-1, 24). He is saying, other words, that if we are concerned about our own safety and security, we should first pray for the peace and safety of the society in which we live.

"These are not only words of censure for the nation's rulers in the Daishonin's time, but a guideline for practice for those of us today who live in a democratic society.

"Essentially, our personal security is not something that can be established in isolation. For each of us to enjoy a life that is safe and secure, it is crucial that both the natural environment and the society in which we live are flourishing in peace and stability."
