November 30th - December 6th, 2015
-- WORDS OF THE WEEK --
What is my focus point for today?
What is it that I want to achieve this week?
It's vital that we chant daimoku
with concrete and specific goals in mind.
At the same time we need to continue
to challenge whatever it is we are challenging
with patience and perseverance.
Each and every day,
let's imbue our lives with a fresh new spirit
using our Buddhist practice to win!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"... all the Buddhas have surely gathered about him in the pure land of Eagle Peak, seating him on their palms, patting his head, embracing him, and rejoicing, welcoming him with affection as one would welcome a moon that has just risen, or blossoms that have just burst into bloom."

(Reply to the Mother of Ueno - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin Vol 1, page 1075)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Expand your network of peace as the 'visible reward' arising from the 'unseen virtue' of your compassionate efforts.

"…Precisely because modern society is faced with the daunting issues of birth, ageing, sickness, and death, let us share our hope-filled life philosophy, which enables all people to manifest the noble virtues of eternity, happiness, true self, and purity. And let us continue with great wisdom and energy to expand the SGI's network of encouragement."

SGI Newsletter No. 9322, Second SGI Women's Peace Conference, The "Palace of Happiness" Resides within Our Own Lives, from 22nd Nov., 2015, issue of the Seikyo Shimbun, translation released 25th Nov. 2015.
