--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Never seek this Gohonzon outside yourself. The Gohonzon exists only within the mortal flesh of us ordinary people who embrace the Lotus Sutra and chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo."

(The Real Aspect of the Gohonzon
- The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin,
Vol. 1, page 832)

Seikyo Shimbun, Nov 7th, 2015

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"'Confucius thought nine times before saying one word. Tan, the Duke of Chou, would bind up his hair three times in the course of washing it and spit out his food three times in the course of a meal [in order not to keep callers waiting]. These were worthy [wise] men of ancient times, a model for the people of today.'

- From "Nine Thoughts to One Word" (WND-2, 730).

"Leaders should be courteous, considerate, and always caring. Nichiren Daishonin's writings offer us foremost lessons in how to behave as a human being.

"Who are the most admirable and respect worthy people in the world? It is those who dedicate themselves to the happiness and welfare of others. It is all of you, the members of the SGI.

"Let us respect, praise, and treasure each person to the utmost as we continue our efforts to spread a network of supremely worthy and wise individuals in society."

SGI Newsletter No. 9319, Living the Gosho: Words of Encouragement from SGI President Ikeda (2), (70) Be Leaders Dedicated to the Happiness and Welfare of Others, from 12th Nov., 2015, issue of the Seikyo Shimbun, translation released 16th Nov., 2015.
