---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"My mentor, second Soka Gakkai president Josei Toda, always instructed us to make the Soka Gakkai an organisation where young people could thrive and grow.
"Today, just as he hoped, youth division and future division members throughout Japan and around the world are vibrantly active and growing soundly. We have entered a wonderful age when youthful Bodhisattvas of the Earth are emerging in unprecedented numbers.
"I hope that all our Soka youth will exert themselves energetically to their hearts' content, filled with confidence and pride.
"The enthusiastic support of seniors in faith is the way to amplify the enthusiasm and energy of the youth. Let's encourage our precious young members with the SGI spirit of treasuring each person.
"Regarding our juniors in faith as our younger siblings, children, or grandchildren, let's talk, chant, and create shared memories of practising Buddhism together, and, brimming with hope, unite with them to write a grand epic of worldwide kosen-rufu!"
SGI Newsletter No. 9520, Creating the New Era, (31) The Unseen Virtue of Striving Behind the Scenes for Kosen-rufu Manifests as Brilliant Visible Reward, from 18th Dec., 2016, issue of the Seikyo Shimbun, translation released 27th Dec., 2016.
