-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Particularly when we are tired
there is more reason for us
to make an effort to study the gosho
even if it may be only a single sentence or phrase.
By putting into action what we study
of Nichiren Buddhism,
we strengthen both our faith and life condition.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"The Venerable Maudgalyāyana put his faith in the Lotus Sutra, which is the greatest good there is, and thus not only did he himself attain Buddhahood, but his father and mother did so as well. And, amazing as it may seem, all the fathers and mothers of the preceding seven generations and the seven generations that followed, indeed, of countless lifetimes before and after, were able to become Buddhas."

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"We are in an age when vast amounts of information can travel instantaneously around the globe, due to the development of the Internet. We benefit greatly from this speed and accessibility.
"At the same time, the abundance of fabricated stories and misinformation, and malicious verbal attacks made under the cover of anonymity, are cause for concern.
"In many cases, such lies and defamation aim to damage the reputation of others and exacerbate discrimination or division, while hiding the author's personal ambitions or own dubious activities.
"The German writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832) warned against 'antagonism and condemnation, anything which merely negates.' *He also observed: 'For the process of destruction all false arguments are valid, but by no means for that of construction. What is not true does not construct.'**
"Society and the world today are in dire need of words of truth—words that are constructive, unifying and value-creating."
