[SGI-ToMyFriends-Wagatomo] 8-14 April, 2019 Words of the Week, 8 April Daily Gosho + 9 April Daily Encouragement

A translation of "Words of the Week" published in the Seikyo Shinbun based on President Ikeda's recent guidance, and more.

April 8th-14th, 2019
-- WORDS OF THE WEEK --
All of our selfless dedication and devotion
for the sake of kosen-rufu
is indeed being praised by Nichiren Daishonin.
It's most certain that the benefits and roots
of goodness we are accumulating
are immeasurable.*
Now, together, aiming towards a victorious May 3rd,
let's cheerfully advance
by encouraging one another!

*"All your virtuous acts will implant benefits and roots of goodness in your life. With this conviction you should strive in faith."
- WND-I, page 4

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"It is like the situation when one faces a mirror and makes a bow of obeisance: the image in the mirror likewise makes a bow of obeisance to oneself."

(The Bodhisattva Never Disparaging chapter
- OTT, page 165)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"You can make tremendous progress when you challenge yourselves towards realising your goals. The more courage you bring forth, the closer you can get to reaching your dreams and each day will become fun and fulfilling. It's just like scaling a mountain; the higher you climb, the broader and more breathtaking the view you can enjoy.

"The important thing is to start from where you can and give your all to challenging something new. Then, just like climbing a mountain, keep moving towards your goal, one step at a time."

Messages from Our Brilliant Planet, [9] The Himalayas in Nepal, from 1st January, 2018 issue of Boys and Girls Hope News, translation released March 2019.
