is our own hearts,
not any scheme or tactic.
And the basis is our earnest chanting
of daimoku.
For the sake of our friends and society,
let's continue to engage in conversation

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"And yet, though one might point at the earth and miss it, though one might bind up the sky, though the tides might cease to ebb and flow and the sun rise in the west, it could never come about that the prayers of the practitioner of the Lotus Sutra would go unanswered."

"The Daishonin explains this through the concept of the 'boundless joy of the Law.'* Through experiencing the boundless joy of the Law, we can develop a state in which life itself is a joy. The pleasures afforded by such things as wealth and fame are fleeting, destined to eventually fade and disappear. But the 'boundless joy of the Law,' which wells up from the depths of our being, is a state of true happiness that nothing can destroy. This state of indestructible and inexhaustible joy is none other than absolute happiness.
"We who embrace the Mystic Law can personally experience this supreme state. We can attain it through our own efforts."
The Buddhism of the Sun—Illuminating the World, [38] A Compass Guiding us to Lives Brimming with Joy and Pride, We are the Lead Players in Our Lives, June 2018 issue of Daibyaku-renge, the Soka Gakkai monthly journal. Translation released March 2019.
* Boundless joy of the Law: The supreme and ultimate happiness of the Buddha, the benefit of the Mystic Law.
