Hooray for our triumphant accomplishment
that has now opened up a new era!
I express my utmost respect and appreciation
to all of our treasured friends and members
for their courageous efforts and dedication!
The "treasures of the heart"
shine so preciously in our lives.
Through the bonds of trust
that we have nurtured and developed,
let's illuminate the future of our local communities
with the light of happiness!
[NOTE: Soka Gakkai (in Japan) endorses the Komeito party, a coalition partner in the Japanese government. Local council elections were held across Japan on Sunday, April 21st, 2019 with amazing victories and where in many areas ALL of the Komeito candidates were elected.
The Komeito was originally founded by Soka Gakkai in 1964 but later separated as an independent entity, with Soka Gakkai providing only electoral support. The Komeito is committed particularly to giving political voice to the most vulnerable and underrepresented members of society on the issues of peace, social security, education, the environment and human rights. It works to protect the interests of ordinary citizens including non-union labour and people who work in small and medium-sized companies, constituencies that makes up a large segment of the Japanese public.

"Whether we perceive our environment as the pure land or hell, the Daishonin says, comes down to a change in our own attitude or outlook. This is what is meant by the principle that 'ordinary people are identical with the highest level of being' (OTT, 22)--that is, the life state of Buddhahood. Nichiren Buddhism teaches that those who have suffered the most can attain the greatest happiness. This is the tremendous power of the Mystic Law."
