-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Buddhism is a philosophy that teaches us
how to be independent and self reliant.
Instead of depending on other people
to do something for us,
we must stand up on our own.
We, ourselves must make the effort
to transform our environment.
Let's all fervently pursue our human revolution!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Believe in this mandala with all your heart. Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is like the roar of a lion. What sickness can therefore be an obstacle?"

(Reply to Kyō'ō - WND, Vol. I, page 412)
Selection source: "Kyo no Hosshin,"
Seikyo Shinbun, September 28th, 2016

—— DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"'This Buddha [Shakyamuni] expounded the medicine of immortality. This is the five characters of Myoho-renge-kyo we have today. Moreover, he specifically taught that these five characters are "good medicine for the ills of the people of Jambudvipa [the entire world]"' [LSOC23, 330].
- From "The Good Medicine for All Ills" (WND-1, 937).

"Nichiren Daishonin wrote this passage to encourage one of his disciples [the lay nun Myoshin] who was deeply concerned about her husband's illness.

"As SGI members we possess the supreme medicine of the Mystic Law that enables us to overcome the sufferings of birth, ageing, sickness, and death. Therefore, we have nothing to fear. This strong conviction moves our lives in a positive direction.

"All of us at some time experience unexpected illness or suffering. But through faith in the Mystic Law, we can change poison into medicine without fail. By chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, which is like a lion's roar, let's make the sun of hope rise in our heart and break through all obstacles."

SGI Newsletter No. 9457, Advancing with the Gosho: Words of Encouragement from SGI President Ikeda, (30) We Possess the Supreme Medicine of the Mystic Law, from 22nd August, 2016, issue of the Seikyo Shimbun, translation released 28th Sep. 2016
