-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Let's be careful about accidents
especially at dusk and night time
when visibility becomes low.
Walking and focusing on something else
at the same time
like a mobile phone or other device,
is dangerous.
Also, if and when riding a bicycle,
let's be sure to turn on the lights
early enough, before it gets dark!

"The Soka Gakkai is a gathering of Bodhisattvas of the Earth, shouldering the unprecedented mission of kosen-rufu.
"With regard to practising the Mystic Law, Nichiren Daishonin writes: 'You must not only persevere yourself; you must also teach others' (WND-1, 386).
"When we engage in Soka Gakkai activities for kosen-rufu, activities for the happiness of ourselves and others, the great life state of the Bodhisattvas of the Earth, filled with boundless joy, pulses within us.
"In the early days of the Soka Gakkai's movement, members joyously shared Nichiren Buddhism with others while struggling with personal problems such as illness, financial hardship, and family discord. Very few people, however, were willing to listen with an open mind to what they had to say. The members were ridiculed and insulted, and sometimes even ostracised by their neighbours and communities. But they refused to give up.
"Why? Because their seniors in faith had warned them that such obstacles would arise when they endeavored to spread the Mystic Law, and this was in exact accord with the predictions in the Daishonin's writings and the Lotus Sutra. That gave the members joy and conviction, and they persevered in their propagation efforts with even more passionate determination."
