"Even though facing considerable hardship of his own, Shijo Kingo, who was also an accomplished physician, supported his fellow members and took the lead for kosen-rufu. He is a great predecessor of our Soka Gakkai's Doctors Division members.
"Our resolve to never retreat a single step in our efforts for our mentor and our fellow members enables us to summon forth the power to overcome any obstacle.
"My dear friends, please become leaders who are admired as a reassuring presence by those around you."
