[SGI-ToMyFriends-Wagatomo] Oct. 9th, 2017 Daily Gosho plus Oct. 10th Daily Encouragement

There was NO "To My Friends" for this day as there was a Japanese National Press Holiday to give all those involved in producing a newspaper a well deserved rest! But as you know we carry on as always, everyday, 365 days a year, no matter what! Read on!…

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"(the lord of Kamakura [the regent] ) twice exiled me, and I nearly had my head cut off.  Because I have persevered without fear, there are now people who think my teachings may be true."

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"I still remember what Dr. Joseph Rotblat, Physicist and Nobel Peace Laureate said to me when we met for the first time in Osaka, Japan (in 1989). He said: 'War turns people into mindless beasts…People who detest barbarism start to act in a barbaric way. This is the insanity of war.'[1]

"His voice was filled with anger as he said this, which reminded me a great deal of Mr. Toda's words:

"'War can never be done away with simply by modifying the social system or changing the structure of the nation. Only a change in the fundamental nature of the human being will do that. The people as a whole must become stronger. The people must become wiser. The people of the world must join together heart to heart—there is no other way!'"[2]
