-- TO MY FRIENDS --
A person who always tries to smile is strong.
They are never defeated
in times of hardship or difficulty.
So today, too, let's do our best to be cheerful!
Let's make every effort to be like the sun
both at home and in our workplace.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Never seek this Gohonzon outside yourself. The Gohonzon exists only within the mortal flesh of us ordinary people who embrace the Lotus Sutra and chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo. The body is the palace of the ninth consciousness, the unchanging reality that reigns over all of life's functions."

- WND, Vol. 1, page 832)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The important thing is faith directed towards realising kosen-rufu. If we are striving wholeheartedly for kosen-rufu, we will have no time to quarrel. The Daishonin repeatedly admonishes against the folly of fellow practitioners squabbling with each other in front of the enemy, comparing such behaviour to the 'sea bird and the clam,' who were both caught by the fisherman because they were preoccupied with arguing among themselves. We should talk and discuss things openly with one another based on a shared commitment for kosen-rufu.
"In any situation, dialogue is a positive endeavour. It builds solidarity and creates unity. To refuse to engage in dialogue is wrong. It can be divisive and destructive. The point is to meet and to talk. It is only natural that our perspective may at times differ from that of others. But discussion gives rise to trust, even among those who don't see eye to eye. In society as well, dialogue is the foundation for peace, while rejection of dialogue is the gateway to conflict and war."
SGI Newsletter No. 9583, The Wisdom for Creating Happiness and Peace, Part 3: Kosen-rufu and World Peace, Chapter 23: The Unity of "Many in Body, One in Mind"—Part 1 [of 2], 23.3 Showing One Another the Same Respect as We Would a Buddha, translation released 6th April, 2017
