-- TO MY FRIENDS --
The Daishonin encourages us,
"Even a feeble person will not stumble
if those supporting them are strong."*
Especially for those
who are extremely busy with work,
raising children, caring for a family member, etc.,
let's be sure to try to
empathise and understand their situations
and at the same time let's offer them
the warmest words of encouragement we can!
*"When a tree has been transplanted, though fierce winds may blow, it will not topple if it has a firm stake to hold it up. But even a tree that has grown up in place may fall over if its roots are weak. Even a feeble person will not stumble if those supporting him are strong, but a person of considerable strength, when alone, may fall down on an uneven path."
- "Three Tripitaka Masters Pray for Rain",
WND-I, page 598

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"If the spirit of many in body but one in mind prevails among the people, they will achieve all their goals, whereas if one in body but different in mind, they can achieve nothing remarkable."
(Many in Body, One in Mind
- WND, Vol. 1, page 618)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Nichiren Daishonin writes: 'from this single element of mind spring all the various lands and environmental conditions' (WND – 2, 843.)
"From the perspective of the Buddhist philosophy of life, the differences between various lands arise from the mind, from people's hearts. Therefore, no matter what the situation or circumstances, when we embrace faith in the Mystic Law, we can transform our minds, or inner state of life, in the place where we are now and undertake the challenge of doing our human revolution. And as we spread ripples of such inner change from one person to another, we can transform our immediate families, our communities, our society, and even the land in which we live."
32nd Soka Gakkai Headquarters Leaders' Meeting, March 26th, 2018 edition of Seikyo Shinbun, translation released May, 2018
