"Even if the person we are encouraging doesn't appear to be receptive at the time, it often happens that they later thank us, saying our words made a difference.
"The Daishonin states: 'Teaching another something is the same as oiling the wheels of a cart so that they turn even though it is heavy, or as floating a boat on water so that it moves ahead easily' (WND – 1,1086). Heeding these words, which convey the essence of humanistic education, let us continue to engage in dialogue based on wisdom and sincere prayer, so that everyone can continue to move forwards with a buoyant spirit."
