-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Let's keep making every effort to reach out and talk with others.
The one courageous step we take today,
will open up the future towards kosen-rufu.
Following in the courageous steps we do take,
the flowers of friendship will certainly bloom in all their beauty.

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"'The daimoku of the Lotus Sutra represents the soul of all the sutras; it represents the eye of all the sutras' (WND-1, 984), declares Nichiren Daishonin. The daimoku of the Lotus Sutra--Nam-myoho-renge-kyo--is the heart of the entire body of the Buddha's teachings. It is the 'essential Law' of the humanistic Buddhism of Nichiren Daishonin, which has the power to liberate all people from suffering on the most profound level.

"Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is the ultimate Law of the universe, the fundamental rhythm of life itself. Through the practice of chanting daimoku, we can bring forth our inner Buddhahood and increase the splendour and power of our lives.

"Chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo with deep faith, even if just a single recitation, has infinitely vast and immeasurable power to revitalise our lives. What amazing benefit, then, is bound to manifest itself in our lives when we continue chanting day after day, assiduously summoning forth the power of faith and the power of practice. In the light of the Daishonin's teachings, there is no doubt that our lives will be filled with limitless and inexhaustible good fortune and blessings.
