-- WORDS OF THE WEEK --
Our faith manifests itself in our daily lives.
Let's remind ourselves
never to become careless or overconfident.
One day of life is more valuable than
all the treasures of the entire universe.*
Let's therefore, live out our lives
by using all of our wisdom (through our faith and practice).
*"One day of life is more valuable than all the treasures of the major world system, so first you must muster sincere faith."
- "On Prolonging One's Life Span", WND-I, page 955

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"And now in the minds of Nichiren and his followers, what is unsurpassed is Nam-myoho-renge-kyo. Among all the things that are unsurpassed, it holds the highest position of all."
(Chapter Four: Belief and Understanding - The Record of the Orally Transmitted Teachings, page 59) Selection source: "Kyo no Hosshin", Seikyo Shimbun, August 18th, 2014

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"To behave with Buddhist compassion is to be mindful of the feelings of those who are struggling. It is to do whatever we can to alleviate, even a little, the pain of those whose hearts are filled with sorrow, despairing over life's bitter challenges. It is to give hope to those who are trying their hardest in difficult circumstances. It is to impart courage to those who are stuck and unable to find a way forwards. And it is to teach, show, and awaken others to the fact that they possess within them the power to overcome every problem, and enable them to actually tap that power. These are also extremely important points in fostering capable people."
