-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Whenever you have to drive,
be determined to stay absolutely accident-free.
All of our lives are so precious and
we each have great noble missions to fulfill.
Never become careless or overconfident in your driving
and always make safety your top priority!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"It is extremely rare to be born as a human being. Not only are you
endowed with human form, but you have had the rare fortune to encounter Buddhism. Moreover, out of the Buddha's many teachings you have encountered the daimoku, or the title, of the Lotus Sutra and become its votary."

(Letter to Jakunichi-bō- The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.I, page 993) Selection source: "Kyo no Hosshin", Seikyo Shimbun, August 17th, 2014

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"It is indeed true, as the Daishonin says, that one's heart is most important.

"No matter how difficult or challenging our circumstances, we must never be defeated in our hearts. There is no need to despair or belittle ourselves.

"The Daishonin teaches that we simply need to do the very best we can, in our own way, for the sake of Buddhism and the happiness of others. The 'treasures of the heart' that we accumulate in the process will enrich our lives, bring us happiness and benefit, and give rise to unsurpassed fortune."

SGI Newsletter No. 9060, Learning from the Writings of Nichiren Daishonin: The Teachings for Victory, [58] "The Wealthy Man Sudatta." Imparting Hope, Courage, and Inspiration to Each Person, from the December 2013 edition of Daibyaku Renge, translation released 4th Aug. 2014
