-- TO MY FRIENDS --
The Daishonin encourages us,
"Each of you should summon up the courage of a lion king."*
Chanting daimoku to achieve our vow of kosen-rufu
is the very source of indomitable courage.
Let's forever advance by first and foremost chanting daimoku!

*"Each of you should summon up the courage of a lion king and never succumb to threats from anyone." - "On Persecutions Befalling the Sage", WND-I, page 997

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"A sword is useless in the hands of a coward. The mighty sword of the Lotus Sutra must be wielded by one courageous in faith. Then one will be as strong as a demon armed with an iron staff."

(Reply to Kyō'ō- The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, page 412)

—— DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Let us do our utmost to sustain the wonderfully warm atmosphere of the SGI where members feel free to discuss anything. Unless we do so, our organisation will stop growing and developing. An organisation that is run by orders from above is bound to sink into bureaucracy. It will become rigid, and so will its members. We must not allow that to happen. The SGI is a realm of humanity, the heart, faith, and compassion. It is a realm of unity and mutual inspiration. That is why it is strong. If we value and promote these qualities, the SGI will grow and develop forever…"
