-- TO MY FRIENDS --
To our courageous members of the Great Chubu* region.
You have always been at the forefront of kosen-rufu
as the brightest star in the sky!
With our strong faith and practice,
let's truly move the protective forces of the universe into action,
and raise the flag of glory upon our indomitable castle!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"And yet, though one might point at the earth and miss it, though one
might bind up the sky, though the tides might cease to ebb and flow
and the sun rise in the west, it could never come about that the
prayers of the practitioner of the Lotus Sutra would go unanswered."
(On Prayer, The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol 1, Page 345)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Everything is constantly changing. Our Buddhist practice enables us to steer those changes in a positive direction—the direction of happiness.
"People can always change for the better. We can also change our environment for the better.
"The Lotus Sutra teaches that the Buddha transformed the land three times, turning it into a pure land (cf. LSOC11, 212–13). Kosen-rufu is the great struggle to carry out such a transformation in our environment and turn the troubled saha world in which we live into a Buddha land—that is, a realm of happiness and peace. As such, instead of lamenting challenging situations, let's rouse the strong determination to change them.
"It took Shakyamuni repeated times before the land was fully transformed. Therefore, let's always keep in mind that only by chanting wholeheartedly and persevering in our efforts for kosen-rufu can we positively transform our communities."
