A translation of President Ikeda's "To My Friends" published in the Seikyo Shimbun and more. Thursday, March 19th, 2015 -- TO MY FRIENDS -- A person who is wholeheartedly dedicated to their practice never feels deadlocked. Let's strengthen our faith even more each day and take another step towards our human revolution! Hope abounds in our hearts. Thursday, March 19th, 2015 --- DAILY GOSHO --- "In the K'un-lun Mountains, there are no stones, and in the Mount Minobu area, no salt. In a place where there are no stones, stones are more valuable than gems, and in a place where there is no salt, salt is more precious than rice." (Gosho: The Story of Ōhashi no Tarō, The Writings of Nichiren, Volume I, page 675) Selection source: Kyo no Hosshin, Seikyo Shimbun, March 19th, 2015 Friday, March 20th, 2015 ---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ---- "'What could any of you have to lament? Even if you are not the Venerable Mahakashyapa, you should all perform a dance. Even if you are not Shariputra, you should leap up and dance. When Bodhisattva Superior Practices emerged from the earth, did he not emerge dancing? - From "Great Evil and Great Good" (WND-1, 1119). This is a passage from Nichiren Daishonin's writings that I engraved in my heart, together with my dear Kansai members who strove alongside me during the Osaka Campaign of 1956. Performing a spectacular dance of courage and unity, determined to transform even the most negative situation into something positive, we achieved unprecedented growth and victory for our movement. "We are Bodhisattvas of the Earth who have emerged with a vow to realise the goal of kosen-rufu. Every one of us has a unique and precious leading role to play in this endeavour. A life brimming with this exhilarating joy is unstoppable. Let's tap our inherent power as Bodhisattvas of the Earth and bring it to flow forth vibrantly in the places of our mission. Let's make a fresh start!"
