-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Let's all express our heartfelt appreciation
to those who offer their residences for our activities!
Let's make a point of always exercising
good common sense in our behaviour and actions
especially towards the family members and their neighbours.
Together, let's advance towards realising kosen-rufu in the community!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Because I view things this way, I feel immeasurable delight even though I am now an exile."

(The True Aspect of All Phenomena
- The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.1, page 386)
Selection source: New Human Revolution,
Seikyo Shimbun, March 10th, 2015

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"'I do not regret meeting with such great persecutions as the votary of the Lotus Sutra. However many times I were to repeat the cycle of birth and death, no life could be as fortunate as this.'
- From "Earthly Desires Are Enlightenment" (WND-1, 317).

"Nichiren Daishonin possessed a truly towering state of life that enabled him to declare, even in the midst of the harshest persecution, that he was filled with 'immeasurable delight' (WND-1, 386; 'The True Aspect of All Phenomena').

"Viewed from the perspective of Buddhism, all of our hardships have meaning. They are all trials we go through to build a state of eternally indestructible happiness.

"Happiness is not the absence of struggles or suffering. Rather, true happiness and tranquillity are found in firmly building a strong self that is not defeated by anything. An unflagging spirit of challenge guarantees that our lives will be endowed with the fortune, or reward, of supreme fulfilment that will endure throughout the three existences of past, present, and future."

SGI Newsletter No. 9212, Living the Gosho: (50)  Build an Unshakable Self, from 5th March 5, 2015, issue of the Seikyo Shimbun, translation released 6th March, 2015
