-- TO MY FRIENDS --
To all of our fellow members in the Shin-etsu Region,*
home of the mountain range of
capable and talented people,
let's all stand up bravely and without any fears!
By hoisting the banner of "courage" high,
let's aim towards a glorious winning goal together,
with the perfect unity of "Many in Body, One in Mind!"

*Shin-etsu region covers Nagano and Niigata prefectures including Sado Island

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Exert yourself in the two ways of practice and study."

(The True Aspect of All Phenomena - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.1, page 386) Selection source: The New Human Revolution, Seikyo Shimbun, March 24th, 2015

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Each step forwards we take for the sake of Buddhism, the happiness of others, and the welfare of society, while struggling and wrestling with all kinds of problems and challenges, will become an immortal golden record of our life in this world. It will shine as a guidepost of infinite hope for all those who come after.

"My mentor, second Soka Gakkai president Josei Toda, once said: 'Suppose that our way ahead on a mountain path is blocked by a massive boulder. But it is vital for us to get past it. Rousing our courage and tapping our wisdom at that time to come up with a solution demonstrates the true depth of our faith.'

"We were born into this world with the vow to open the path of kosen-rufu, the great path to realising the Daishonin's ideal of 'establishing the correct teaching for the peace of the land.'"

SGI Newsletter No. 9216, Walking the Triumphant Path of Soka, from the April 2015 issue of the Daibyakurenge, translation released 18th March, 2015
