no good fortune will be unbestowed."*

-- WORDS OF THE WEEK --
"No prayer will go unanswered and
no good fortune will be unbestowed."*
Through having a strong powerful faith
and practice,
let's bring forth the boundless power
let's bring forth the boundless power
of the Buddha and the Law!**
Let's help our friends,
Let's help our friends,
one after another,
to join our solidarity of happiness!
*"If you have faith in this Gohonzon and chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo even for a short while, no prayer will go unanswered, no offence unexpiated, no good fortune unbestowed, and all righteousness proven."
(Commentary on "The True Object of Worship" by Nichikan Shonin)
**The power of the Buddha, the power of the Law, the power of faith, and the power of practice. In Nichiren's teachings, the four powers are known as the four powers of the Mystic Law, whose interaction enables one to have one's prayers answered and attain Buddhahood. The power of the Buddha is the Buddha's compassion in saving all people. The power of the Law indicates the boundless capacity of the Mystic Law to lead all people to enlightenment. The power of faith is to believe in the Gohonzon, the object of devotion that embodies the power of the Buddha and the power of the Law, and the power of practice is to chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo oneself and teach others to do the same. To the extent that one brings forth one's powers of faith and practice, one can manifest the powers of the Buddha and the Law within one's own life.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Whether you chant the Buddha's name, recite the sutra, or merely offer flowers and incense, all your virtuous acts will implant benefits and roots of goodness in your life. With this conviction you should strive in faith."

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Nichiren Daishonin, the Buddha of the Latter Day of the Law, clearly states: 'The best way to attain Buddhahood is to encounter a good friend…. [W]e should seek out a good friend. But encountering a good friend is the hardest possible thing to do' (WND-1, 598).
"A good friend is indispensable to attaining Buddhahood in this lifetime, but also extremely rare and precious. Soka Gakkai discussion meetings are gatherings filled with such good friends.

"In our world today, which is like a mire rife with negative influences, discussion meetings are places of mutual encouragement where we can help one another lead happy lives and shine our brightest as 'human flowers' (LSOC5, 142). They are noble assemblies pervaded by the Buddha virtues of eternity, joy, true self, and purity."
