-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Beware of the common cold and influenza viruses.
Be sure to always take preventative measures
by gargling and washing your hands regularly,
using masks* and humidifiers, etc.
to prevent from catching and spreading (such illnesses.)
Take good care of your health, first and foremost,
and advance in the very best of good cheer!

* It's the norm in Japan, and we hear in some other countries, too, to wear a mask especially when you have a cold or other illness that might be contagious.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"This passage is saying that if in a single moment of life we exhaust the pains and trials of millions of kalpas, then instant after instant there will arise in us the three Buddha bodies with which we are eternally endowed. Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is just such a 'diligent' practice."

(The Essential Passage in Each of the Twenty-eight Chapters of the
Lotus Sutra
- ROTT, page 214)

"Kindling the flame of respect for life in the hearts of people everywhere, transcending all differences, our discussion meetings are helping individuals forge the dynamic strength and solidarity needed to withstand the trials in their individual lives and the lands in which they live.

"Discussion meetings are an inexhaustible wellspring of energy for building a new 'culture of dialogue' that humankind longs for."
