-- TO MY FRIENDS --
The place where you find yourself in right now
is the "stage" on which you can
do your utmost human revolution.
Let's become like "Suns"
inspiring trust and confidence wherever we go,
shining brilliantly in our communities,
at our workplaces and within our families!
Let's wholeheartedly embody the principle
that Buddhism manifests itself in society.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Life is limited; we must not begrudge it. What we should ultimately aspire to is the Buddha land."

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The fifth troop is sleepiness. I'm sure some of you experience attacks of sleepiness when you sit down to chant daimoku or study the Gosho. Even Shakyamuni struggled against feeling drowsy in his quest to attain enlightenment.
"To prevent this, you should establish a regular daily routine and try to get enough sleep. It's also important to do what you can to ensure that you wake up well rested. If you lack sleep, of course you're going to feel tired. To wake yourself up when you're drowsy, you might try splashing your face with cold water.
"The sixth is fear. For example, you may find that, because of your Buddhist practice, you are looked on strangely or shunned by those around you. You may even be persecuted or have your life threatened, like Mr. Makiguchi. Being afraid of that happening may cause you to leave the Soka Gakkai or slacken in your Buddhist practice. This is a manifestation of the devilish function of fear, the essence of which is cowardice.
"The Daishonin writes: 'Nichiren's disciples cannot accomplish anything if they are cowardly' (WND-1, 481). Having courage is the key to deepening your faith and attaining Buddhahood in this lifetime. It takes courage to join the Soka Gakkai and share Nichiren Buddhism with others. It also takes courage to challenge your karma. Faith is courage."
