-- TO MY FRIENDS --
The Daishonin teaches us,
"It is the heart that is important."*
Immeasurable benefit
and good fortune shine
on those who chant daimoku with appreciation
and take action with gratitude.
Happily and enthusiastically,
let's devote ourselves to achieving kosen-rufu
creating happiness for both ourselves
and others!

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Even if we face what could only be described as a huge karmic obstacle, when viewed with the eye of the Buddha we will see that wonderful new heights lie beyond it. When we change the way we look at things—that is, change our attitude or mind-set—we will come to view all of our problems and hardships as fuel for our human revolution. By becoming the stars of this exciting drama of inner transformation, we can adorn our lives with happiness and victory.

"That's why it is important for us to keep chanting Nam-myo-renge-kyo when we're happy and when we're sad, never turning our lives away from the Gohonzon. Such earnest, determined prayer draws forth the Buddha wisdom and transforms the world of suffering—into the stage for our mission of helping all people become happy, and into a joy-filled  treasure land."

The Buddhism of the Sun - Illuminating the World, (25) A Religion of Human revolution - Part 5, The Wisdom to See Things as They Really Are, from the May edition of the Daibyakurenge 2017, translation released January 2018.
