-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Let's just not "feel" appreciation,
let's actually verbally express
our appreciation
(with such words as)...
"Thank you for everything you do."
"It really is thanks to you."
Let's really put our heart into it!

 --- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Employ the strategy of the Lotus Sutra before any other. 'All others who bear you enmity or malice will likewise be wiped out.' These golden words will never prove false."

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The wisdom of Buddhism is the direct path to happiness.

"In another letter ('Reply to the Lady Priest Soya'), Nichiren Daishonin writes: 'Hungry spirits perceive the Ganges River as fire, human beings perceive it as water, and heavenly beings perceive it as amrita (life-giving sweet dew). Though the water is the same, it appears differently according to one's karmic reward from the past' (WND-1, 486).

"The world appears differently depending on the viewers state of life. Thus, the way a Buddha perceives and experiences the world will be different from that of other living beings of lower life states.

"However, though we may appear to be unenlightened ordinary people who have to deal with many problems and challenges, when we tap that Buddha wisdom inherent within us, we can completely transform the realm of suffering in which we dwell. This is 'perceiving that true aspect of reality.'*"

The Buddhism of the Sun - Illuminating the World, (25) A Religion of Human revolution - Part 5, The Wisdom to See Things as They Really Are, from the May edition of the Daibyakurenge 2017, translation released January 2018.

* The true aspect of reality: This means seeing things as they really are. The Lotus Sutra states: "The Thus Come one (the Buddha) perceives the true aspect of the threefold world exactly as it is" (LSOC 16, 267). Clearly perceiving the reality of the world in which we live and understanding the true nature of all phenomena, the Buddha imparts the wisdom of his enlightenment to free all people from suffering.
