"Nichiren Daishonin wrote this letter to all of his disciples while enduring life-threatening persecution on Sado Island.
"Directly inheriting his spirit, we as members of the Soka Gakkai study and discuss the teachings of Buddhism and chant and strive together. We have advanced kosen-rufu by forging such bonds of faith around the world.
"Soka Gakkai districts are like the assembly on Eagle Peak, bringing together comrades in faith who share deep karmic ties.
"Let's make these gatherings of unsurpassed human harmony a source of inspiration for leading winning lives and spreading the light of peace throughout society."
