-- WORDS OF THE WEEK --
Congratulations on the
remarkable victory achieved
by overcoming numerous trials
and tribulations!
Let's make sure to express
and tribulations!
Let's make sure to express
our deepest appreciation
and respect
to all of our fellow members.
It's most certain that
It's most certain that
the Daishonin would be
praising our united efforts.
With confidence in our hearts
that "unseen virtue" brings about
"visible reward,"*
let's strive together to build

full of happiness, peace
and security shines over it!

** The Soka Gakkai in Japan endorses the Komeito Party, the coalition partner in the present Japanese government. Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly elections were held on Sunday, July 4th, 2021, where all the candidates fielded by the Komeito, for the eighth time in a row, won their seats.
The Komeito was originally founded by Soka Gakkai in 1964 but later separated as an independent entity, with Soka Gakkai providing only electoral support. The Komeito is committed to giving political voice to the most vulnerable and underrepresented members of society on issues of social justice, peace, social security, education and the environment. It works to protect the interests of ordinary citizens including non-union labour and people who work in small and medium-sized companies, constituencies that makes up a large segment of the Japanese public.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"The Venerable Maudgalyāyana put his faith in the Lotus Sutra, which is the greatest good there is, and thus not only did he himself attain Buddhahood, but his father and mother did so as well. And, amazing as it may seem, all the fathers and mothers of the preceding seven generations and the seven generations that followed, indeed, of countless lifetimes before and after, were able to become Buddhas."

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The practice of chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo established by Nichiren Daishonin is the universal means by which all people can overcome hardships and achieve human revolution...
"Shijo Kingo found himself in an extremely difficult situation which he described as: 'Great hardships have showered down on me like rain' (WND–1, 471). It was during this challenging period that the Daishonin sent him a letter titled 'Happiness in This World.' It includes the following passage that Soka Gakkai members across the globe have engraved deeply in their hearts:
"'Suffer what there is to suffer, enjoy what there is to enjoy. Regard both suffering and joy as facts of life and continue chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, no matter what happens. How could this be anything other than the boundless joy of the Law? Strengthen your power of faith more than ever.' (WND–1, 681)
"Steadfastly chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo in both suffering and joy, and you will be able to attain a life of happiness without fail, the Daishonin tells us.
"Happiness is not the absence of problems or sufferings. True happiness shines in the lives of those who never give in to defeat, no matter what challenges or hardships they encounter. Chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo each day is the ultimate source of strength for living with such resilience."
