"The stalks in a bamboo grove each sprout up vigourously towards the sky, yet beneath the earth, the roots are firmly connected, solidly supporting one another. That's why they are so strong. True friendship is a heart-to-heart bond between people who support one another and grow together, just like bamboo stalks. Those who share such a bond can remain undefeated, no matter how fiercely the winds of hardship may blow. They can get back up even if they should fall.
