"A mind now clouded by the illusions of the innate darkness of life is like a tarnished mirror, but when polished, it is sure to become like a clear mirror, reflecting the essential nature of phenomena and the true aspect of reality. Arouse deep faith, and diligently polish your mirror day and night."

"Thanks to the dedicated efforts of our members everywhere, the mighty river of propagation of the great Law and our inspiring ranks of capable Bodhisattvas of the Earth continue to grow and expand.
"Let's encourage one another as we press onwards together on the long journey of kosen-rufu into the eternal future. Let's advance with the Gosho, the writings of Nichiren Daishonin, and make each day of this year one of victory and positive accomplishment."

"'The seventh volume of the Lotus Sutra says, "After [Shakyamuni] have passed into extinction, in the last five-hundred-year period you must spread it [the Lotus Sutra] abroad widely throughout Jambudvipa [the entire world] and never allow it to be cut off" [LSOC23, 330]. This indicates that to "spread it abroad widely" [lit. kosen-rufu] will be accomplished in the time after "the pure Law becomes obscured and lost," as the Great Collection Sutra puts it.'

"Kosen-rufu is never-ending; it is a current that flows unceasingly across the globe and into the future. The mentors and disciples of Soka have stood up to carry out this undertaking entrusted to us by Nichiren Daishonin to spread the Mystic Law throughout the entire world, never allowing it to be cut off.
