"In the sunny early morning of New Year's Day, in a sublime celestial drama, the pale outline of the moon and the vivid white streak of a jet vapour trail adorned the bright blue sky over the Hall of the Great Vow for Kosen-rufu, where members would soon gather for gongyo meetings.
"Once a plane takes off, it has to keep flying onwards until it reaches its destination. In the same way, we must forge ahead unswervingly towards our great goal of attaining Buddhahood in this lifetime, navigating our way through any turbulence and living our lives to the fullest with courageous faith."
