--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"(Kyō'ō's) misfortune will change into fortune. Muster your faith, and pray to this Gohonzon. Then what is there that cannot be achieved?"

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The Daishonin notes that the Mystic Law has the power to enable all living beings of the Ten Worlds to attain Buddhahood in their present form. Using vivid imagery, he likens this to 'fire being produced by a stone taken from the bottom of a river, or a lantern lighting up a place that has been dark for a hundred, a thousand, or ten thousand years' (WND-1, 923).

"The essence of our Buddhist dialogues is believing in the inner potential or Buddha nature of the person we are talking with. Each dialogue represents a cause for extraordinary revitalisation through the life-affirming philosophy of Nichiren Buddhism—as if producing fire from a stone taken from the bottom of a river, or illuminating a cave that has been dark for countless eons.

"There's no need to worry about how you present yourself or what to say. The conviction burning in your heart is sure to be communicated to those you encounter. Just be yourself, genuine and unpretentious, kindling the bright, hope-filled light of value creation in others' hearts with your sincerity."

SGI Newsletter No. 9341, Engaging in Joyful Dialogues That Illuminate Others' Hearts, from the February 2016 issue of the Daibyakurenge, translation released 18th Jan., 2016
